Head Coach: Danny Arias
Meet Coach Danny Arias: Coach Danny has 19 years of coaching experience, 18 as a head coach. Since 2012, Danny has been leading the Empire Ravens Volleyball Program. In 13 years, Danny has led the Ravens to a 218-134 overall record, 6 Region championships, and 8 state playoff appearances. Under his leadership, the program has earned 38 First Team All-Region/Southern AZ honors, 29 Second Team All-Region/Southern AZ honors, 10 Region Player of the Year honors, 9 Coach of the Year honors, and 7 Collegiate Recruits. The Ravens Volleyball Program has also enjoyed successful JV and Freshman seasons. In 2016, the JV team went 19-0, and in 2018, the Freshman team went 18-0. The success at the younger levels has fueled the strength at the Varsity level. Other notable accomplishments include: winning back-to-back 5A Sonoran Region Championships in 2018 and 2019 and qualifying for the 5A State Playoffs in the 2018 season while going 16-3 (23-9 Overall). More recently, the Ravens Varsity volleyball team won 4 Region Championships in a row (2018-2021), and in 2021 went 18-0 (29-5 overall) while finishing as a 3A State Semi-Finalist.
Coach Danny is also a Head Coach for Club Cactus Juniors Volleyball Association in Tucson, AZ. In the 18 years (16 of which as a head coach), Coach Danny has coached with Club Cactus, and he has held positions from 12U to 18U. Most recently, Coach Danny led the 16U-Mizuno travel team. In 2024, his 15U travel team had a 1st place finish in the Cactus Classic Invitational. As well as a 3rd place finish at the JVA West Coast Cup with the 2025 16U team. He has also assisted and guided players during the recruiting process so they could fulfill their goals of playing collegiately.
