We are excited to welcome our new Head Football Coach, Greg McKinstry, who brings experience at the high school and collegiate levels. Most recently, he served as the Defensive Coordinator at Empire High School in 2025. He previously held head coaching positions at Catalina Foothills High School (2023–2024) and Catalina Magnet High School (2021–2022), where he guided program development, built strong team culture, and emphasized player growth on and off the field.
As a player, he competed for six-plus seasons in the Arena and Indoor Football Leagues as a defensive back. He played collegiately at the University of Northern Iowa, also at the defensive back position. He holds a Master’s Degree in LYHSA from the University of Northern Iowa, and did his undergraduate degree at Ohio University. Greg is committed to developing student-athletes through accountability, toughness, and leadership.
